2月19日，南都记者从裁判文书网获悉，最高人民法院近日公开了一份张某甲死刑复核刑事裁定书，裁定核准了湖北高院维持第一审认定张某甲犯故意杀人罪、抢劫罪、侮辱尸体罪，决定执行死刑的刑事裁定。张某甲正是引起社会热议的“湖北竹山21岁晨跑女孩遇害”案的凶手。被害人朱某甜的母亲马女士告诉南都记者，凶手张某甲目前已被执行死刑。

南都此前报道，朱某甜在大专毕业后与母亲一同在深圳工作，因报名参加老家湖北十堰竹山县事业单位招聘考试，朱某甜于2021年10月18日回到当地备考。在11月1日早上朱某甜外出晨跑之后，家人迟迟不见她回家，遂向公安机关报案。
接警后，当地公安机关迅速组织相关部门全方位查找。同年11月5日凌晨，在南门山树丛中发现朱某甜遗体。11月8日，警方成功抓获犯罪嫌疑人张某甲。
